Narendra Modi is infamous as the person who has been (repeatedly) elected on the strength of his criminal record. I have mentioned that he is like the Rajapaksa of Gujarat. Reuters is currently reporting on folks in Pakistan who are in shock knowing that a former Nobel Peace Prize owner has been handsomely rewarded by his people (in part) for his brilliant record in leading non-peace-keeping campaigns armed with a kill-list and killer drones.
Mohammad Rehman Khan, “The 28-year-old Pakistani accuses the president of robbing him of his father, three brothers and a nephew, all killed in a US drone attack a month after Obama first took office.
“The same person who attacked my home has gotten re-elected,” he told Reuters in the capital, Islamabad, where he fled after the attack on his village in South Waziristan, one of several tribal areas near the Afghan border. “Since yesterday, the pressure on my brain has increased. I remember all of the pain again.”
“Since 2004, a total of 337 US drone strikes in Pakistan have killed between 1,908 and 3,225 people.”

PS Clive Stafford Smith (who is not a part of the loony left) considers drone killing as war crimes. He is founder of Reprieve which maintains a comprehensive repository of drone victims. There are also now “war crimes” lawsuits in Britain brought forward by Brit Paks who have lost relatives in drone strikes.
