Wasn&#039;t surveying just another job albeit a somewhat technical one by 19th century? What was so special about these British collaborators and spies? This area was no south pole, tens of millions of people lived here.

Reminds me of how British make up stories about building the railways. As if they were personally fighting 100 ft tall Tsavo Dragons hand-to-hand. One only needs to look at China or Japan infra built without western help or making so much noise to see how silly these colonial stories sound.]]></description>
