it’s fascinating the Indus Hindus suffered tremendously through Partition but they did become the soft elite of modern day India..
Oh yes! Good observation. Though the trauma didn’t make them bitter as one might have expected. They worked hard and rebuilt their lives from scratch.
it’s also an idea that displaced economic elites can regrow very quickly..
Carnatic music I think is an acquired taste. Though it does grow on one. I’m beginning to appreciate MS Subbalakshmi’s suprabhatam very gradually.
TM Krishna had gotten into a controversy not long ago. Looks like it died a natural death.
