India doubles down on Rafales that will be delivered next decade, and could be easily brought down by just J10Cs. While Pakistan is set to induct J35s this year.

I don’t think Sindoor Part 2 is happening anytime in the next 5 years.

“Sindoor” will not be repeated. Pak Fauj has shown that we are more than capable of defending ourselves. The Indians here don’t understand that Pakistan doesn’t need to “win”. We just need to deter India. For us, that is victory.

Not to mention that the US Administration is firmly aligned with Pakistan now. How many times has President Trump said that the Field Marshal and the PM are “fantastic”? I’ve honestly lost count.

It’s not jingoistic to point out that Pakistan is in a much stronger position than it was 12 months ago.

For one thing, we are firmly in America’s camp. India-US relations are not in a good place.

As for the “low bar” Pakistan has: For us victory is simply deterring India. India is a much bigger country and we are not going to be able to outright defeat it in war. However, since we are a nuclear power, we don’t need to outright defeat India. We just need to make sure they think many times before attacking our homeland again.

Indians can tell themselves what they like. We have spent the whole week celebrating Marka-e-Haq.

Clearly the world at large, same with how Iran is using Legos as well.

Yes. The use of the Simpsons format suggests that this messaging is squarely aimed at the West.

Drumpf…….says a lot of things. 😀

As the Indian military spokesperson said yesterday in a presser – the whole Pakistani …tamasha about how they cope with Op Sindoor is….amusing.

His name is President Trump. It is very rude to constantly use a name for someone which is not the name they use for themselves. Classic passive aggression.

Indians can tell themselves whatever they want. “Sindoor” will not be repeated. Pakistan successfully deterred India.

If you want to repeat it, please try. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan is fully prepared to defend ourselves.

Let them be happy with their delusions. Reality is way too harsh. Besides, who knows what the Donald extracted as his pound of flesh. Takes virtually nothing to make grandiose announcements.

If one is willing to believe propaganda over hard evidence, says more about them than anyone else, no?

The “reality” is that Pakistan is in a much stronger position diplomatically than it was 12 months ago.

If you want to test this reality, by all means get your government to bomb Pakistan again. It’s not going to go well for you.

Of course, Pakistan should also not use terror as a tool of proxy war.

We will all see what happens in the future. I am willing to place bets that your country will not be repeating this misadventure. The Islamic Republic of Pakistan does not kid around when it comes to national security.

I am willing to bet Phield Marshal is feeling confident in doing a repeat of Pahalgam very soon.

First of all, India has not credibly proved Pakistan was behind Pahalgam. Your domestic audience can believe whatever they want. The question is what does the international community think.

Secondly, I am on record as stating that Pakistan should not use terrorism as a means of proxy war. I don’t stand by the official Pakistani position that Pahalgam was a “false flag”.

What else do you want from me? If you want me to submit to India’s hegemony that’s not going to happen. I’m a patriotic Pakistani and I’m not ashamed of that fact.

For a change, I agree with you. Our leadership has to realize we have no ummah or global liberal order to fall back upon unless we decide to turn ourselves in to a rentier state. The only good path forward is one of independence in defence armaments.

I didn’t follow the entire 87 hours skirmish last year here but a quick look back suggests things were the usual cross talk. If anyone is genuinely interested in perhaps the most neutral report they can refer to this Swiss think-tank’s assessment. Not pretty for either side but clearly puts paid to Pakistani intellectuals’ claim of India being deterred by Pakistani nukes.

“Region could witness new political alignment after US-Iran war: Moghadam”

By Baqir Sajjad Syed

https://www.dawn.com/news/1998778

The Iranian envoy, reflecting the thinking in Tehran, said Iran considers its relationship with Pakistan a priority in the neighbourhood.

While noting that Iran maintains relations with other states, including India, he said Pakistan remained a key partner and the relationship was steadily growing stronger.

The envoy said Iran had consistently pursued friendly relations with neighbouring countries, but predicted that the recent war could significantly reshape regional order. He suggested the conflict could lead to a decline in US influence and further isolation of Israel.

Dr Moghadam said Pakistan-Iran ties had strengthened considerably and raised prospects for a broader regional alliance comprising Iran, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and Pakistan after the war ends.

Yes, the brief detention of Sheema Kermani was shameful.

Sheema is a dear family friend.

I have shared the news regarding the NOC given to “Aurat March” in my latest post if you care to look.

Personally, I think that too big a deal is made about this march every year. The government should let the protestors march. It’s just a matter of a few hours and then they’ll go home. The negotiations every year about whether this event should even be held or not are counterproductive.
