It seemed to be doing quite well as a success mechanism, not just Indians, East Asians too, no overt tribalism, no culture push, no victim complex, worked well until people noticed how well they were doing.
Assabiya for anyone is in direct proportion to persecution complex, it will spike. Expect things to change fast.
Issue seems to be one of generation.
Indians assimilate within one generation.
Even India itself is very westernized, especially in the metros.
All of these issues won’t exist in 25 years.
what do that mean?
I mean that Indians within one generation in the west basically become brown “whites”.
And even in India, the urban upper class areas are very “white”.
Conflicts arise with Indians who are more middle class/lower class when they immigrate as they are not well versed with “white/western” culture.
But a developed India won’t have that issue as will with Indians who are more assimilated.
Example is say East Asians. Japanese/Koreans are “honorary white”. Chinese also had lots of issues in the 2000s-2010s with integration, bad behavior of tourists etc but now they are on the way to be the new Japanese/Koreans.
The UK for one with all its anti-immigration drives/movements have no focus on Indians at all. And Indians there are much older compared to say Canada, Australia, USA etc. The UK I’d say is one place where most Indians are native born rather than immigrants.
My Opinion the Indo Aryan type Indians dont assimilate or integrate. South Indian specially Kerala and lesser extent TN Tamils
integrate and assimilate.
Anecdotal data*
I had six class mates (out of 120) of Indian origin. Three Sindhis, two Gujarati Hindus and one Borah. All third gen Sri Lankan Citizen. Not one married a Sinhalese or Sri Tamil. Not one of their children married Sinhalese or Sri Tamil. In fact some got down their partners from India and of their community.(Confirms Razibs observation from DNA that Indians have been endogamous for centuries.
In the US seen many Keralites (approx my generations) married to Filipinos and Whites
In Sri Lanka I see the Estate Tamil Indentured workers who leave the estates end up marrying Sinhalese. I see quite a few now in Colombo working in the SuperMarkets and eateries.
In the case of my family (Jaffna Tamils) my grandfathers brother was married to an American Missionary. By 1908 all three children and father had died. (The sad story is in a link below).
My generation four of cousins (all about 75+ now) were married to Europeans. eg the one in the photo in front of my place went to Uni in SL and then got a schol to Cambridge. Married a English woman. The grand son in the photo is half Jewish, quarter English and Quarter Tamil.
I have lost track of all inter marriages to non Sri Lankans of the generation after me.

The sad saga of Kitty Wood the American Missionary wife of Mudliyar K. C Barr-Kumarakulasinghe. KC Barr-Kum was married to an American Missionary. Orrie Emma Wood (kitty) They had three children. KCBK was sent to the Maldives by the Colonial Govt to administer, He and his wife Kitty were also involved in translating the Bible into Divehi (Maldivian). KCBK got yellow fever and passed away after coming back to Ceylon
Kitty took the children and went back to America. All three children got yellow fever and died in quarantine in New York.

The United Nations is the fig leaf they put over colonialism, to tell us it was a statue. Alas, colonialism is still very much a living, killing thing, and the UN is in on it. The UN created ‘Israel,’ sustained it for generations, and now dies with ‘Israel’ and its general ruination.
The world adopted the UN to stop horrors like the German holocaust from happening, but here we are again, the usual suspects doing the usual war crimes, under the UN aegis. Indeed, the UN is used to condemn not the genociders, but those resisting. They cannot even condemn a genocide and instead sanction the people fighting it, like Iran.
What we have today is a UN where a war criminal wanted by its own judicial organ is given speaking time, while even the reprehensible representative of Palestine is forbidden from even attending. Where the controlling US openly denies visas to people it doesn’t like and flexes its imperial control of the whole institution.
The latest travesty is the rump White Empire (Europe) using the UN to sanction Iran for its legitimate nuclear program after Iran was attacked by ‘Israel’, a completely illegitimate nuclear state.
