What the internet is today

The troll above lives in Frisco, TX. If I spent $1 I could look up their name and identity. I have 35,000 Twitter followers, and blogs and newsletters that get tens of thousands of pageviews a day. I could make this person “famous” very quickly!

I (probably) won’t do this, but the lesson I want to put out there: be careful who you troll with appropriate “opsec.” Most of the time you people are beneath notice, but I am becoming aware I will have to “make examples” at some point soon to dissuade some of the more nasty behavior that crops up on the internet.

You don’t hide behind anonymity as much as you think. I “own” what I do say on the internet. Many of you lack courage so behave in a nasty manner under “pseudos.” But the day is something when monsters will get hungry, and even anchovies will appetizing.

My unsolicited 2 cents: I’d reserve dropping the gauntlet for actual threats, rather than just random trolls. Anyone saying “you should get your face bashed in” or whatever, then fair game. People just calling you an idiot well, it’s annoying but probably best ignore maybe?

Then again, I don’t get hundreds of people calling me an idiot, so it’s an easy stance for me take I suppose.

“But the day is something when monsters will get hungry”

Should that be?:

Never get in a mud fight with a pig. You can’t win. The pig loves rolling around in the mud. And even if you pin the pig, you will spend so much time and energy cleaning up that you will rue your victory.

Hi Walter, The version I heard was “Arguing with an engineer is like wrassling with a pig, after a while you realize they like it”.
Cheers,
Guy

If this innocuous level of “trolling” bothers you enough to contemplate doxing someone, I suggest a break from social media.

@Razib, I’ve heard that even if one encounters 1 postive remark and 1 negative remark, the human mind has the tendency to diminish the positive one and vastly magnify and only remember the negative remark. I’m sorry to see some annoying comments including the one from @chrisare in this post. That being said, I wanted to point out that there are many silent readers of your blog. I read brownpundits.com with regularity and hold the comment discussions here as some of the highest quality discussions on all of internet, not exaggerating at all.

Having said the above, I would hope you would not let these troll comments get to you. There are many readers of the blog who appreciate your effort in keeping the blog up and the insightful posts.

I agree with you Anonymous!!!

Dr. R. Khan is a genius who’s able to explain amazing things in a clear way. He was the first to explain how Europe was resettled and re-peopled 6,000 years ago, and for a while, I didn’t believe him. Now, we know that’s 100% true!!!

He’s made amazing points.

LOL! All I did was critique a part of your blog i didnt like and you got triggered! LOL!

Here since you want to “make me famous” ill help. My last name is Khan like yours. Some information you may not find about me on the $1 personal information site you may be using is that I am an undergrad at a prestigious business school in the Northeast U.S. with only a few credits left to graduate. I am also a longtime and prolific commenter at Pumpkin Person’s blog and a semi-regular one at other blogs including westhunter where Greg Cochran gives you the ultimate esteem.

From one Khan to another all i can tell you is to not take things so personally next time. LOL.

Thanks for showing courage and stepping up. As a long-time internet user, I just recommend to you to be civil. You have no idea how difficult it is to create a wonderful blog like this.

@LOADED

“Women who aspire for male-oriented success and prosperity generally are looking to impress other women either to signal social functioning or because they are actually lesbians.

Either way I would say it has its negative consequences to the individual and the group when they do this.

Women are extremely incompetent due to constant impulsivity. Their stupidity is attributable to poor decision making due to acting on instinct the majority of the time and then making a bad decision when judgment comes into play.

Men are rational but make stupid decisions due to impulsivity. Women are the opposite is what im saying.”

I am quoting you directly from that Cochran blog. Do you really believe this stuff?

I saw your work you did with Genomelink on the Global Ancestry project. Its very good work and I apologize if I may have offended.

Instead of doxxing me can you help me get a discount on Genomelink for me? LOL.

I already have an account with Genomelink and have bought a lot of their reports but this one seems for me to be the one with the most detail.

Im looking forward to buying it soon and sharing my results to friends family and possibly people on the Internet ;).
